Dr. Kristine Collins graduated with her Veterinary Degree from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 2001. She continued her education with a small animal surgical internship with Surgical Options in Madison.

She worked in a clinic south of Madison since 2002. She enjoyed working with all species of animals both large and small. However, since 2005 she has focused on dogs, cats and household pets in the areas of medicine, surgery and emergency care. She opened Sauk Point Veterinary Clinic to continue her ideal of being a neighborhood veterinarian to an extended community. She enjoys her calling as a veterinarian, and sharing her knowledge of general science and medicine with pet owners and her friends.

She has done volunteer work for the Dane County Humane Society and for Friends of Ferals. She is also an active participant in her local Rotary Chapter. Dr. Collins grew up in Omaha, Nebraska, then moved to Wisconsin with her husband Dave Manganaro in 1995. They have had many pets all their lives, and currently have 3 rescued cats of their own, and a foster cat currently in rehabilitation at their home.

Kathy, CVT

Sauk Point Veterinary Clinic Kathy, CVT

Kathy has been a CVT since 2008. She graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at MATC, and she also has a Bachelor Degree from the University of Wisconsin La Crosse in Sociology. She lives with her husband in Sun Prairie, and they have three cats named Bear, Max, and Zoe. Bear was her inspiration for starting in the field of veterinary medicine. She also enjoys downhill skiing, boating, cheering for the Packers.

Kelly, CVT

Kelly grew up on a dairy farm in Minnesota. There she attended Argasy University for Veterinary Technology. While in school, she adopted one of her patients, a German Shorthair Pointer named Oreo. Currently she is working full time at the Univerisity of Wisconsin Large Animal Teaching Hospital and part time at Sauk Point Veterinary Clinic. She enjoys outdoor activities, swimming, biking, tennis and watching movies.

Sara, CVT

We will miss Sara's great expertise. She has been accepted at Ross University for Veterinary School. Good luck Sara!

Sara graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at MATC in 2009. Previous to that she attended the University of Wisconsin - Madison and obtained a Bachelors Degree in Psychology emphasizing in Animal Behavior. She currently works full-time at the UW Veterinary School as a Large Animal CVT and recently joined Sauk Point Veterinary Clinic because she loves small animal work also! Sara lives in McFarland with her dog Jack, three cats: Metal, Mischief, and Leo, two guinea pigs: Wayne and Garth and her husband Aaron.

Ashley, Assistant

Ashley grew up in a small town south of Madison and went on to graduate from The University of Wisconsin Platteville with a Business Degree and Human Resource emphasis. She grew up always having pets in her home and loves to work with them as much as she can. Ashley’s biggest hobby is showing the Arabian horses which her family has bred and raised for many years. Showing in 4-H growing up she has now dedicated her time to showing Class A all over in the Midwest region. When not showing horses Ashley enjoys skiing, camping, and spending time with family and friends.

Georgia, Assistant

Sauk Point Veterinary Clinic Georgia, Assistant

Georgia grew up in Massachusetts before moving to Wisconsin to get her degree in Microbiology. As a microbe enthusiast she enjoys running analyses in the in-house laboratory, and also exploring the Wisconsin specialties of cheese and beer. At home she has two cats, Huey and Louise, a dog, Ginger, two paint horses, Samson and Remix, and a rotating crew of fosters from the Humane Society. Georgia was drawn to veterinary medicine after rescuing two hungry stray kittens abandoned at a bus stop, and is applying to veterinary school this year.
